Dr. Clarence Norris

Sunday, July 28, 2013 — Dr. Clarence Eugene Norris, 65, of Matthews, N.C. passed away Monday afternoon, July 22, 2013, at Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte.

 A Celebration of Dr. Norris’s Life was at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013, in Levine Senior Center, 1050 DeVore Lane, Matthews, N.C. 28105. The family  received friends from 2-3 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the Levine Senior Center.

Dr. Norris was born February 13, 1948, in Hastings, MI to the late Gordon Norris and Waneta Shellebarger Leffel, who survives, of Hastings, MI. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam Era, as a Medic with the U S Army. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church of Charlotte, and until shortly before his death, he served on the Board of Directors of the N.C. Integrative Medical Society (NCIMS). Dr. Norris will be deeply missed by his patients, who were touched by his remarkable kindness and found, in him, a true friend.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Morton Norris of the home; daughter, Katrina Norris Taylor and husband, Mark, of Charleston, S.C.; brothers, Larry Norris of Mission, Texas, and Carl Norris of Grand Rapids, MI; two grandchildren, Logan and Landon Taylor.
