Nellie “Lou” Glenn, 81, of Mooresville, a Stanly County native, passed away Oct. 26, 2013

Tuesday, October 29, 2013 — Nellie Louvine “Lou” Efird Glenn, 81, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at her residence.  

She was born on July 12, 1932, in Albemarle, N.C., to the late Jacob Irenus and Nellie Mae Eudy Efird. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Marshall and Jerald Efird; sister, Patricia Efird; and a son, Bryant Steven Glenn.  

Lou graduated from Fort Mill High School in 1950. She retired from First Union Bank (Wells Fargo) after 25 years of service as a Consumer Loan Service Manager.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles E. (Buddy/Chuck /Sarge) Glenn; sons, Chuck and Teresa Glenn of Davidson, N.C., Kevin and Jennifer Glenn and Terry and Jamie Glenn, all of Mooresville; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ethlyn Hammond and Kathleen Jackson, both of Fort Mill, S.C.

Visitation for family and friends was on Monday, October 28, 2013, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home from 5-6:30 p.m. Services began at 7 p.m. in the Cavin-Cook Chapel with Dr. Eric Eanes officiating. Burial was on Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Grand View Memorial Gardens in Rock Hill, S.C.
