Sunday, December 1, 2013 — Janet Arlene McConnaughy Clark, 75, of Norwood, passed away Friday morning, November 29, 2013, at Randolph Hospice House.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sunday, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Tony Parsons officiated and interment followed in Rehobeth Methodist Church Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Clark was born March 18, 1938, in Alexandria, Ind., to the late Harold McConnaughey and Imma Jean Eubanks Meyer.
She was a member of South Stanly Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, until her health declined. She was instrumental in developing the church library. Jan always enjoyed bringing friends to her church. She was Owner/Operator of the Big Dipper in Norwood.
She is survived by her daughter, Heidi Kendall and husband Mark and son, Howard Clark, all of Norwood; sisters, Lois Stichnoth of Greenville, S.C. and Linda Ulig of Washington; brother, John Meyer and wife Robin of Texas; grandchildren, Corey Kendall and Sam Clark; and great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Khloe and Kelsee Kendall.
