Randolph Martin

Thursday, September 20, 2012 — CONCORD – Mr. Randolph Loury Martin, 79, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at CMC-NorthEast.  

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 20 at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jim White. Burial will follow at New Gilead Reformed Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Randolph was born September 27, 1932, in Cabarrus County to the late Alton Loury and Wortha Stamps Martin. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Susie” Haynes Martin; and two grandchildren, Melissa Martin and Daniel Blackwelder.

Randolph was a member of New Gilead Reformed Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War and was also a member of the American Legion Post 51. He retired as an accountant from Roberson Airtech Inter-national.

Randolph is survived by his sons, Dean Martin and wife Betty of Locust, Roger Martin and wife Deana of Concord, David Martin and wife Melissa of Charlotte; sister, Evelyn L. Foil of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Reid Martin of Concord, Garrett, Kayce and Jonathan Martin of Kannapolis, Michael Blackwelder of Stanfield and Sara Ann and Matthew David Martin of Charlotte.
