Annie Burris Kirk, 90, of Lenexa, Kans., died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, August 25, 2013, in her home.
Her funeral was at 12 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, in Stanly Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle, N.C. Rev. Marvin Goodnight officiated and burial was in Fairview Memorial Park, Albemarle, N.C.
The family received friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Friday, August 30, 2013, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
Born April 30, 1923, in Stanly County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Jacob N. and Ida Baucom Burris.
She was a retired supervisor with Concord Telephone Company and a member of the Church of God.
Mrs. Kirk was married to the late Woodrow Wilson Kirk who preceded her in death February 1, 1988.
Three brothers, Simeon V. Burris, Van Buren Burris and Guy Burris and three sisters, Virginia Burris, Clara Burris and Lant Staton, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Guy T. Kirk of Concord, N.C.; one daughter, Esca Clariece K. Felker of Lenoxa, Kans.; one brother, Rev. Irvin Burris of Salisbury, N.C.; one sister, Greta Burris of N. Kansas City, Mo; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
