While we deal with the escalating gas prices and all the ghastly impacts on our lives, the Iranians yesterday tested nine missiles, one of which has the range to reach Israel.
One consequence of that haunting Middle East reality was that oil prices went up again and the stock market took another big hit — over two percent on both the Dow and Nasdaq.
For so many, this double whammy of inflation at the pump and decreasing bank accounts has Main Street USA’s economic well-being suffering significantly.
And as the oil prices continue their rise, there’ll be more stories coming our way at the SNAP of cutbacks, layoffs and of people sleeping in their cars while trying to cope.
In our ever-shrinking world of 2008, it is very certain that every thing that happens in our world has a direct impact on all of us in Stanly County.
