Friends of the Butterfly House and Stanly Health Foundation will present the 2021 Dancing with the Stars as a live stream event.

Nine couples will compete on the dance floor this year to earn votes and raise funds for the Butterfly House Children’s Advocacy Center.

“One of Stanly County’s most beloved events, this year’s show will be an exciting one,” said Kim McGowen, annual giving officer for Stanly Health Foundation, a co-organizer of the event. “The health and safety of our community is our top priority; therefore, this year’s show will be live-streamed and free for all viewers.”

Individuals can watch the show at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 on YouTube. Voting is available through noon Sept. 10. Voting will re-open during the live broadcast so individuals can support their favorite dancers and The Butterfly House.

Dancers for this event include Chad Smith and Sara Huneycutt, Sam Rutherford and Savannah Hunt, Chauncey Bruton and Ashley Wall, Kevin Spry and Rebecca Huneycutt, Levi Cranford and Karmen Smith, Dale Chandler and Alexandrea Furr, Chad Taylor and Abagail Broyhill, Dr. Pradeep Pilakel and Phyllis Rummage, and Pastor Derrick Adcock and Dr. Mindy Turner.

The YouTube link will be available on stanlydancing.com, as well as on Facebook on the Friends of the Butterfly House and Stanly Health Foundation pages the day of the event.
