Wingate Choral Music
Through regional concert tours and state-wide engagements, the Wingate University choirs are recognized for excellence. With four choirs available to music majors and non-majors, every student at Wingate is offered a place to sing and is encouraged to make music performance a vital part of their undergraduate education. This singing experience is rooted in a varied repertoire that represents Western and non-western musical traditions, American sacred music, gospel and spirituals, folk songs and hymns. Committed to global education, the choirs have travelled to South Africa and to the Baltic countries of Estonia and Latvia where they received Grand Prix honors at the Pärnu International Choral Festival.
