U.S. National Whitewater Hosts Two-Day Festival to Celebrate the 4th of July

Wednesday, June 26, 2013 —  CHARLOTTE – The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) announces the Coca-Cola 4th of July Festival, taking place on July 3-4, 2013. The festival, one of the larger events hosted at the USNWC, includes two consecutive days of games, live music and incredible fireworks displays as the sun sets each evening.

Throughout both days of the festival, guests can experience any of our many pass activities, from zip-lining to whitewater rafting to rock climbing. The AllSport Pass, the most popular way to experience the Center, provides unlimited access to all activities in a day’s time. The festival will also include two 32-team, single elimination cornhole tournaments that will take place on both days, with two AllSport Season passes at stake. Teams may pre-register for the tournament for $30 per team.

Following a full day of activities, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy three live music shows that begin at 4 p.m. each day and will last into the evening. Wednesday’s lineup includes Cory Chisel, Mountain Heart and headliner the Apache Relay; Thursday bands include Swear and Shake, Big Daddy Love and headliner Keller Williams with More Than A Little. As the sun goes down each night, the USNWC will put on a stunning fireworks show over our man-made whitewater river. Both the fireworks show and music performances are non-ticketed events that are free and open to the public.
