Penick Village is hosting a free Senior Speaker Seminar breakfast on May 30th with Rose Young, Billing Advocate. Rose will address healthcare and insurance issues affecting senior adults including Medicare and Medicaid, billing questions, prescription drug plans, retirement and continuing care communities, and many more crucial topics.
Rose Young has a wealth of experience and knowledge as legal counsel and a compliance officer for health insurance and health care organizations, most recently with First Health of the Carolinas. She also has a graduate certificate and a deep personal interest in gerontology, the study of aging. Rose assists individuals reviewing their options for Medicare supplement and prescription drug plans, as well as helping navigate the often overwhelming and bewildering health care system. Rose will provide some ideas on how to make the system work better for the consumer instead of being swept helplessly into the machine. Rose will address those questions of the uncertainties in the ever changing health care system for seniors.
The breakfast will be held in the Village House at 500 East Rhode Island Avenue in Southern Pines at 9:30am. An RSVP is required as space is limited. To RSVP please contact Janine Cone in the Marketing Department at (910) 692-0300 ext 382 by May 23rd.
