GREENSBORO – North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will conduct an evacuation drill on Tuesday, August 5, in Aggie Stadium beginning at 8 a.m. Lindsay and Sullivan streets near the stadium will be closed to the public.
The drill will simulate a threat of an explosive device. University groups, Guilford County Emergency Management and the City of Greensboro’s police, fire and EMS departments will participate.
During the drill, emergency responders will simulate crime scenes and volunteers will play the role of victims and evacuees. The drill is expected to last approximately three hours. The goal of the exercise is to test and improve the university's and community's overall preparedness for an emergency.
