Lail lands role on ABC's 'Once Upon a Time'

ASHEBORO — Asheboro's own Elizabeth Lail has been cast as Anna on ABC's "Once Upon A Time, according to the network's Web site.

The daughter of Dean and Kay Lail of Asheboro, Elizabeth just graduated in May from the UNC School of the Arts. She'll play the part of Anna, younger sister of Elsa of "Frozen," who made an appearance in this year's season finale. Anna's love interest, Kristoff, will be played by Scott Michael Foster, a veteran of ABC Family's "Greek" and "Chasing Life."

The Web story quotes as describing Anna as "a fun-loving, fearless optimist who often gets herself into situations where she is in over her head, yet is able to triumph due to her resourcefulness and can-do spirit."

ABC subsequently announced that Georgina Haig, best known as Etta on "Fringe," will play Elsa.

The show will return to ABC's schedule in the fall on Sundays at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

The Randolph Guide contacted Lail last week in New York. She said she and her manager are waiting for ABC to give her the go-ahead on interviews.
