West Stanly advanced to the 2nd round of the 2A dual-team state playoffs by defeating Salisbury, 6-3 on Tuesday.
The Colts won all three doubles matches to pull out the win over the previously ranked #7 team in the state in the latest coaches poll.
West Stanly will host the winner of West Lincoln/Ledford on next Tuesday at the West Stanly tennis courts.
This Friday, Marty Little competes in the regional singles tournament while Andrew Smith and Trey Ennis compete in the doubles tournament at Catawba.
Little won the RRC singles title last week while Smith and Ennis finished second in doubles.
