Gray Stone wins at North Rowan; Chatham Central tops South Stanly; West Stanly beats Mount Pleasant

Tuesday, April 16, 2013 — In recent high school softball games, Gray Stone earned a road win at North Rowan while South Stanly took on the No. 1-ranked team in the state in the latest 1A coaches’ poll in a road game at Chatham Central and West Stanly hosted Mount Pleasant in a non-conference tilt.

On Friday afternoon, the Knights jumped out to a big early lead and went on to a 13-1 five-inning win at North Rowan that improved Gray Stone’s Record to 6-7 overall and 5-7 in the Yadkin Valley Conference.

Chatham Central 7

South Stanly 0


The South Stanly Rebel Bulls went on the road Friday evening to take on a Chatham Central Squad that was ranked No. 1 in the state in the latest 1A coaches’ poll.

The host Bears swept the season series with the Rebel Bulls earning a 7-0 win.

West Stanly 11

Mount Pleasant 1


The West Stanly Colts improved to 11-3 overall this season with an 11-1 six-inning home win over Mount Pleasant in non-conference game on Monday.
