Monday, April 22, 2013 — Richfield met for their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday evening, with but one item on the agenda.

Janet Childress, the children’s program coordinator at Highland Baptist Church appeared before council on Monday night. She was there to announce that Winshape Camps for Communities was coming to Stanly County and to provide information for individuals interested in volunteering or donating.

“For the five days of camp, Winshape will being in their fully trained staff. What they’re asking from the community is for one volunteer for every 10 campers. They ask this so that when they leave, our community members will be the faces the campers recognize,” said Childress.
