Albemarle contracts approved

Monday, March 18, 2013 — City Council approved two agreements aimed at cleaning up Albemarle.

The city’s Public Works department will now holdresponsibility for mowing right of ways inside the city following a contract presentation by Director Michael Lambert.

Council then agreed to enter into an electronic recycling proposal with ERI, so that electronic devices could be disposed of properly.

The city will gain a profit from the mowing contract, and will not pay for any services from ERI.
