Burr addresses economy, Voter ID law

Wednesday, August 28, 2013 — State Rep. Justin Burr (R-Albemarle) addressed the local Council Of Governments Tuesday night with comments on the state's new Voter ID law and local economic development.

Burr said he stood by the Voter ID law calling it "common sense," but his remarks about Stanly County economic develoment were critical saying he was "frustrated by where we are at."

Burr suggested the development of "one-stop" economic catalyst for the county that would combine all of the economic-based entities into one organization.

More on Burr's remarks will appear in Thursday's edition of The SNAP.
