APD investigating late night shooting

Friday, July 9, 2012 — Albemarle Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened in downtown Albemarle Monday night.

According to police, officers responded to a shots fired dispatch at approximately 11:22 p.m. near 424 E. Oakwood Ave., Albemarle.

Five rounds were fired during the incident, but no one was injured.

Police are still investigating and are asking for anyone with information to contact the Albemarle Police Department at (704) 984-9500.
