The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for small streams throughout Stanly County until 11:45 a.m. Saturday.
The National Weather Service is reporting that law enforcement officials have advised of several roads being closed to high water or being washed away. Water levels are rising along Rocky River.
Drivers are urged to watch for roads which have been completely washed out by flood waters and to drive slowly because wash outs will be difficult to see.
To report flooding, have the nearest law enforcement agency relay a report to the National Weather Service Forecast Office.
