Miller resigns tax administrator post

Sunday, September 8, 2013 — Stanly County Tax Administrator Melia Miller has resigned her position.

The news came with the release of the agenda for the county commission meeting to be held Monday night.

Commissioners are scheduled to consider appointing Miller's assistant, Charles Johnson, to the post as interim administrator.

The reasons for Miller's vacating the office were not noted in the commissioner's information packet.
