TODAY: Barbecue fundraiser for the Community Inn Expansion Project

Friday, April 13, 2012 — On April 13, there will be a barbecue fundraiser for the Community Inn Expansion Project at First Baptist Church in downtown Albemarle from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Tickets are $8 for pork barbecue prepared by the Good Ole’ Boys, and  is available as a plate, along with slaw, chips, bread and cake, or the barbecue can be purchased by the pound.

Drive-through pick up will be operating at the rear of the church (please enter from North Street), although a dining area in the church fellowship hall will be available for anyone who wishes to eat it on-site.

The Economist famously created the Big Mac index in 1986 to see which currencies were overvalued. It started as a joke. Now, as the magazine proudly notes, it's a subject of academic study.
