Stanly teams compete at 1A track regionals

The 2018 NCHSAA 1A Midwest Regionals were conducted at North Stokes High School in Danbury this season.
Top four places in the open/relay events qualified athletes for the NCHSAA 1A State Championships at NCA&T University in Greensboro.

Men’s Results

The Albemarle Bulldogs took first place at the Midwest Regional with 96 points, besting the Community School of Davidson by 24 team points.
Gray Stone finished seventh with 29 points, while North Stanly was 12th with 17 points and South Stanly finished 18th (7 points).

Women’s Results

Albemarle finished third overall at the regional with 55 points as Mount Airy took first place with 86 team points, followed by North Stokes (60).
Gray Stone finished fourth with 51.5 points while North Stanly was seventh (46) and South Stanly finished 15th (8).
