The May 27 worship service at Palestine United Methodist Church was led by Pastor Kevin McCormac. The title of his message was “Remembering” and scripture reading came from Isaiah 51:12-16.
In honor of Memorial Day and to remember those who served our country, a video was shown and names were called out during the service.
On June 3, McCormac led the congregation with his message titled “Let’s Map It Out.” Scripture reading was from Jeremiah 29:1-14. A special baptismal service was held for JT Thompson. Family members from the Bibys and Thompson joined JT’s parents, Christian and Hilari Thompson, to promise to support and nurture JT as he grows in the church.
Also during the worship service, the graduates of the church were honored.
Kinsley Scout Calloway and Joshua Ryan Hudson both received gifts and cards from the church. Kinsley will attend college in the fall to pursue nursing and Joshua will attend college and study finance.
After the worship service, a covered dish luncheon was shared in honor of the graduates.
The June 10 worship service was let by McCormac. The title of his message was “In Pursuit of God’s Intent” and scripture reading came from 1 Kings 3:4-14 and Proverbs 3:1-12.
During the service, Tina Cagle was presented a special pin from the Palestine United Methodist Women for Special Missions Recognition.
