Gray Stone graduate wins Alpha Delta scholarship

Taylor Kuehl won the Xi Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa scholarship.

The scholarship is awarded each year to a female Stanly County graduate entering the field of education.

Kuehl is a graduate of Gray Stone Day School who will attend Appalachian State University this fall to major in Elementary Education.

Her ambition is to teach at Badin Elementary, where her late mother taught and was media specialist.

At Gray Stone, Kuehl was an honor student participating in track, cross-country and cheerleading.

She volunteered at Badin Elementary as a tutor and teacher assistant three years.

She is the daughter of Allen and the late Cynthia Ann Kuehl.

Alpha Delta Kappa is an honorary international organization for women educators. The 2017-2018 year was the 60th anniversary of the Stanly County Xi Chapter.
