Teens Making A Difference

Teens Making A Difference will celebrate its 25th anniversary July 28 with a reunion banquet at Ike Westbrook’s Community Center at 6:30 p.m.

They will also have a Fun Day July 27 at West Badin Park from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Deloris Chambers is the founder and president. Valerie Tyson is also involved.

Shiloh Baptist Church

Shiloh Baptist Church will celebrate the pastor’s 32nd anniversary (Rev. Parnell Kelly) on Sunday.

The 11 a.m. worship speaker will be Bishop Harvey Rice, former pastor of Mt. Calvary Church, Salisbury.

Dinner will be served after the worship.

At 3 p.m., the speaker will be Pastor Michael Stovall of Resurrection Church in Albemarle, along with his choir and congregation.

West Badin Alumni Association

The community is very thankful to have the West Badin Alumni Association.We appreciate their work and their dedication of their lives to making this community great.
And I am not saying this only because they made a dedication to me, but because I am able to say I’ve seen them grow up to be exceptional and dependable contributors to society.

Revival

St. Luke Church will have its annual summer revival Sunday through Wednesday.

Immediately after morning service, lunch will be served.

Theme will be “Reaching the Lost: The Power of One,” based on Acts 2:41.

The 11 a.m. Sunday speaker will be Vice Bishop Chenner L. Smith.

The 3 p.m. speaker will be Apostle Debra Robinson from Church of the Living God of Troy.

Speaker at 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday will be Bishop Arvester and Lady Terry Lindsey of Friendship Churches of God, Inc., Ansonville.

Sympathy

The community was deeply saddened at the death of Johnny “Yogi” LeGrand and offers the family its deepest, heartfelt sympathy.
