Misenheimer Community Playschool marked recently the end of another school year with a brief program and a get-together for family and friends.
Directed by their teacher, Linda Gulledge, the children sang and danced their way through some of their favorite songs, nursery rhymes, and fingerplays.
They especially enjoyed performing “Dino Ditty” and “Where have the Dinosaurs gone?”
Each child received a small token in appreciation of their work and in congraulations for a successful year of learning.
Coy Mabry, Hayden Wittman, Jaeden Faerman, Kaycee Chandler, Presley Wetter, Thomas Hinson, Tommy Whitley and Zack Harrington received a Preschool diploma as well.
Families then enjoyed a finger food reception and the chance to share memories and phone numbers for arranging play dates during the summer.
On the next day, the eight rising kindergartners were treated to a special day complete with making a “Ready for Kindergarten” sunvisor, bouncing in a bounce trampoline and enjoying the playground and centers together one more time.
Books like “The Night before Kindergarten” and “Don’t Eat the Teacher” kept the day busy and fun.
The morning concluded with pizza, graduation cupcakes and ice cream.
Misenheimer Community Playschool is in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and has been in existence for more than 40 years.
