The July 1 worship service at Palestine United Methodist Church was led by Pastor Kevin McCormac. The title of his message was “From Me to Him” and scripture reading was from Joshua 24:19-25.
On July 8, McCormac shared his message “Trust God” and used scripture from Joshua 24:14-15, Exodus 33:11, Numbers 27:18-23, Joshua 1:1-9, Proverbs 3:5, Psalms 37:3, Romans 15:14 and 1 Peter 2:36.
Vacation Bible school will be 5:30-8 p.m. Monday through July 20. Volunteers are needed for setup on Saturday. Please see Audrey Carter to help with teaching or any other available positions.
On July 29, the Palestine United Methodist Women will host their Fifth Sunday Luncheon in the church fellowship hall immediately following the morning worship service.
The luncheon will consist of hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, desserts, homemade ice cream. All proceeds will go to help support local missions. Donations will be accepted.
The Peanut Butter and Jelly Ministry is collecting juice, cereal, grits, oatmeal, dry beans, green beans, spaghetti, macaroni, other pastas, spaghetti sauce, Alfredo sauce, Jiffy cornbread mix and Hamburger Helper.
Please see Susie Bowers or Robi Cagle with donations.
Many thanks to all who have helped and continue to help this ministry provide food for children during the summer months.
Volunteers are needed for children’s church for July and October. See Joyce Hathcock to volunteer.
