Chances to win tickets, support Uwharrie Players coming up
The Uwharrie Players will present “Cinderella” at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center the last weekend in July and first weekend in August.
All children 10 and younger are welcome to dress as a “Cinderella” character and will be invited onstage before the second act of each performance, with one child to be the winner in a drawing for prizes that include two tickets to The Uwharrie Players fall production of “On Golden Pond” and two 2019 season tickets.
After each performance the Cinderella of the play and other cast members will be available in the Agri-Civic Center lobby to have their photographs made with anyone who wishes to do so. Those wanting photographs should bring their own cameras or smartphones.
Zaxby’s Restaurant in East Albemarle will make a contribution to the Uwharrie Players.
From 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Zaxby’s will donate a part of its sales to The Players. Those coming to Zaxby’s during that time can also enter a drawing to win two free tickets to “Cinderella” and meet some of the cast members.
The Uwharrie Players will present “Cinderella” at 7:30 p.m. July 27-28 and Aug. 3-4 and 3 p.m. July 29 and Aug. 5.
Adult tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the door. Tickets for anyone 21 or younger or older than 60 are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Anyone under 10 will be admitted for $5.
