Linda M. Schiebler, 77 of Farragut, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 11 with family and friends by her side.

She was born in Albemarle, North Carolina on March 10, 1941, the oldest of four children of C.E. and Geraldine (Poplin) McSwain.
She graduated as valedictorian from Aquadale High School in 1958.
Upon graduation, she headed to nursing school and graduated from the Hamlet Hospital School of Nursing, where she was asked to remain as a teacher.
She later moved to Richmond, Virginia. While working as an surgical nurse, she met a resident named Jack Schiebler. They married on June 20, 1970 and relocated to Jack’s home state of Wisconsin, where they finally settled in Green Bay.
She was actively involved in a number of organizations including the Green Bay Antiquarian Society, Brown County Medical Auxiliary, and Our Ladies of Charity Guild.
Linda loved to entertain and had many special memories from her “Gourmet Group.”
She also loved sharing her passion for the decorative and fine arts. In addition to photography, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and needlepoint, she was an accomplished artist in watercolor, acrylic, and pastels.
She enjoyed singing in choir, and playing both piano and organ in the community. She also taught children piano for a number of years.
In her later years, she shared those passions with her grandchildren and dear friends in Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee.
Above all things, Linda loved her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she loved spending time with each of them. She took an interest in their passions and encouraged them to reach for the stars.
Survivors include two children and three grandchildren, all in Knoxville, Robin (Joe) Cacopardo and their children, Nick and Kate; John E. (Aisha) Schiebler and their daughter, Simone; two brothers, Barry (Angie) McSwain and Jill (Betty Ann) McSwain; 6 nephews; and her godson, Andrew Miskella.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Charles “Jack” Schiebler, and her brother, Charles Kentwood “Skip” McSwain.
Friends may call on Saturday, August 11 from 11 a.m. to Noon at Click Funeral Home, 11915 Kingston Pike, Farragut, TN. A Celebration of Life will begin at Noon at Click Funeral Home with Father Doug Owens and Pastor A.D. Baxter officiating.
