Friday

Kinza Memorial Baptist Church, 4311 Love Mill Road, Stanfield, will have vacation Bible school “Game On! Gearing Up for Life’s Big Game” from 6-8:30 p.m. for ages 2 through adult.
An Adult Bible Study class will be offered each evening.
Vacation Bible school kicks off at 5 p.m. Monday with a tailgating party.
There will be music, Bible stories, crafts, recreation and refreshments each evening.
Guests are expected and encouraged to attend.

Pastor Brian Johnson of Perfecting Life Global Ministries and the church will have a Youth Night at 6:30 p.m. at 1970 E. Main St., Suite 10, Albemarle.
All youth and children of the church are invited to come.

Badin United Methodist Church, 18 Hickory St., will have vacation Bible school from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Children through eighth grade are welcome to enjoy arts, crafts, Bible stories, activites and lunch.
Kids are asked to bring a bathing suit and towel for a surprise.

Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Richfield will hold a Give and Take Event at 8 a.m. Much like a yard sale, but with no money involved, there will be a variety of toys, clothes and household items available free for anyone who can use them.

The Pathfinders will be in concert at 11 a.m. Cottonville Baptist Church, 4888 Plank Road, Norwood.

New London United Methodist Church and Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church will have a joint vacation Bible school 6-8:15 p.m.
There will be classes for all children from age 3 through the sixth grade.
The theme for the VBS will be “Shipwrecked—Rescued by Jesus” at New London United Methodist Church, 206 S. Main St., New London.

Aug. 3

Highland Baptist Church, 106 Highland Dr., New London, will have its vacation Bible school from 6-8 p.m. for ages 3 through 12th grade.
The theme is “Team Jesus” and it will include crafts, lessons, snacks and games.

Porter and Randall United Methodist churches will have vacation Bible school from 9 a.m.-noon at Porter UMC, 40031 Porter Road, Norwood.
The theme is “Camping with Jesus,” so there will be lots of camping themed activities and crafts, as well as mission opportunities for children ranging from preschool to fifth grade.

Bethany United Methodist Church, 2411 U.S. Highway 52 North, will have its VBS “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus” 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for ages 3 through rising sixth-grade.

Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, 9029 Cottonville Road, Norwood, will have homecoming.
Guest speaker will be Mark Swaringen.

Lumber River Ministries will present a concert of gospel music at Cottonville Baptist Church at 4888 Plank Road, Norwood, at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
The Lumber River Quartet are a well known southern gospel ministry that travels and ministers all across the U.S. and Canada. Ronald, Glenn and Greg have appeared on TV, radio and are national recording artists.

A covered-dish luncheon will follow the 10:45 a.m. worship service in the church fellowship hall.
