In order to raise breastfeeding awareness, six organizations are coming together to sponsor “The Big Latch On” — a breastfeeding event at Courthouse Square Park — from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 4.

Mothers are encouraged to come out with their babies to participate in an international “latch on” at 10:30 a.m. to support World Breastfeeding Week; no registration fee is required.

The event will also include music, door prizes, snacks, raffles and information on breastfeeding.
