At East Carolina University, 5,479 students received degrees this spring in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
The following local students earned degrees:
• Amar Patel of Albemarle graduated with a BS-Biology;
• Jerry Vang of Albemarle graduated with a BS-Biology;
• James Patrick of Albemarle graduated with a BS-Health Fitness Specialist;
• Dajha Medley of Albemarle graduated with a BSN-Nursing; and
• Jafaria Thomas of Oakboro graduated with a BSBA-Management.
