East Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Norwood will conclude its annual revival.
Revival services will be at 7 p.m. with Bishop Freddie Barnes of Ansonville.

Living Waters Ministries, 308 N. Central Ave., Locust, will have revival with evangelist Daniel Woods at 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Kinza Memorial Baptist Church, 4311 Love Mill Road, Stanfield, will have its annual homecoming worship service at 10:45 a.m.
The Rev. Randy Berryhill will be guest speaker.
A covered-dish luncheon will follow the 10:45 a.m. worship service in the church fellowship hall.

Guest speaker at the 11 a.m. service will be former pastor Ken Gibson.

Sunday: A fellowship meal will begin at 12:30 p.m. Sunday’s service will begin at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Henry Sterling from Macedonia Baptist Church of Midland as the guest speaker.
Monday: The Rev. Carolyn Buford, associate minister of Greenville A.M.E. Zion Church of Charlotte, will be the guest speaker. Service will begin at 7 p.m.
Tuesday: The Rev. Kevin W. McGill Sr., presiding elder of the Concord District and pastor of Rock Hill A.M.E. Zion Church of Concord, will be the quest speaker at 7 p.m.
Wednesday: The Rev. Ellison Bowman, pastor of Torrence Chapel A.M.E. Church of Cornelius, will be the guest speaker at 7 p.m.

Anderson Grove Baptist Church will begin its Awana program at 6:30 p.m. at the church, 2225 E. Main St., Albemarle. Ages 3-5th grade.
For ages 3 through fifth grade, this free event includes games, snacks, Bible stories and scripture memorization.

Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, Oakboro, will celebrate 100 years with homecoming and revival.
Guest speaker for the 11 a.m. service will be the Rev. Tyson of Mt. Sinani Baptist Church, Charlotte.
The afternoon service will begin at 2:30. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Joseph McFarland.
The revivalist for the week will be the Rev. Jerry Aiken, from Hodges, South Carolina.
Revival will be 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday.

Uwharrie Community Church, 1510 Moss Springs Road, Albemarle, will sponsor a women’s conference called “At The Well.”
The event will be filled with inspiration through songs, drama, speakers, comedy and more.
Special guests include Cheryl Fellores, Michelle McNair, Donna Smith and Karen Messick.
Breakfast will be at 8 a.m. and the event will start at 9 a.m. The event is free.

Sept. 16

“Another Afternoon with John Denver,” part of New London United Methodist Church’s continuing Music and Missions series, will be from 4:30-6 p.m.
Rod Almond and friends will once again present an hour and a half of John Denver’s music, recreating a typical concert from before Denver’s untimely passing 21 years ago.
There is no charge to attend, but donations are accepted.
All proceeds go to Stanly County Homes of Hope, Inc., a non-profit organization working to reduce homelessness in Stanly County through transitional housing, emergency housing, case management, resource connections and skill acquisition that will enable individuals and families in need to gain independence and become successful community members.

Sept. 29

Mt. Zion Baptist Church will hold a financial literacy class from 10 a.m.-noon Sept. 29 at 401 Wall St., Albemarle.
The event will include credit repair seminar, budgeting and saving money and financial literacy class for grades 6-12.
The event is free.
There will be child care services provided for elementary age children during the event.

Centerview Baptist Church, 508 NE Connector, Albemarle, will host a women’s conference, “Anchored in the Storms of Life,” from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Sept. 29.
Program includes keynote speakers Tara Furman of Knowing God Ministries and Renea Henderson, a Christian humorist. Musical guests are Kristi Vance and Jordan Caddell.
Cost of $15 includes lunch.

Kinza Memorial Baptist Church, 4311 Love Mill Road, Stanfield, is participating with the NC Baptist on Mission on a project called Appalachian Christmas Outreach.
The Appalachian Coalfields ministry seeks to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people living in the Appalachian area.
The goal is to collect 15,000 backpacks for children ages 4-15 in the states of North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky.
Kinza Memorial Baptist Church is leading this project in Stanly County.
Kinza seeks help in providing backpacks filled with winter hats, gloves, socks, hygiene kits, Bibles and candy.
