During July, two of North Stanly’s FFA officers attended Washington Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.

Aly Argento, president, and Meredith Simpson, vice president, attended a week-long leadership conference led by the National FFA Organization.

Throughout the week, Aly and Meredith attended leadership workshops where they gained skills to help them as leaders for the North Stanly FFA Chapter this year.
They also traveled through D.C. to see the national monuments, the Capitol Building and the White House.

Through this conference, they met other chapter leaders from across the United States.

“I am so proud of these students for getting out of their comfort zone and attending this conference,” said FFA advisor Danielle Rushing.

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity they will never forget.”
