Vicky Poplin Efird, 75, of Albemarle, NC, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Bethany Woods Nursing Home & Rehab.

Her funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday September, 23, 2018 in Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Phillips and Pastor Marshall Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the Aquadale Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 2 until 3 prior to the service.
Born February 13, 1943 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late A.D. Poplin and Helen Frick Poplin.
She retired as Secretary to the Mecklenburg County Clerk of Court with 30 years of service.
Mrs. Efird was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She served at the Community Table and was very active in the life of her church when her health permitted.
Mrs. Efird is survived by her husband, George “Bud” Efird of Albemarle; son Troy D. Efird and wife Tanya of Norwood; brother Toby Poplin of Norwood, grandson Garrett L. Efird and wife Kim of Norwood and grandchildren Micah, Zachary, Kinsley and Kaydence.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
