Stanly County students also received a free ticket, compliments of Pfeiffer University. These tickets must be used with a paid adult ticket (only 1 free student/adult ticket.)
Conductor Christopher James Lees has chosen a varied program that ranges from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, First movement, Rimsky-Korskov’s “Flight of the Bumble Bee” to Loewe/Bennett’s compositions for “My Fair Lady.” The audience will also hear selections from Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Barber and Rachmaninoff.
The musical selections were chosen to showcase the grandeur of a concert performed by a symphonic orchestra.
