Senior football players reached out to the community on the morning of Sept. 7 by greeting elementary students off the bus to charge up their day.
Everyone was all smiles as the current Bulls gave high fives and shook hands of future Bulls walking into class at Oakboro Choice STEM, Aquadale and Norwood elementary schools.
“It was great to see the elementary students star struck as their favorite South Stanly football players greeted them,” said SSHS head coach Ryan Ochier.
“What an awesome way to start this Friday morning,” added Norwood teacher Holly Litaker. “My students are still talking about the players who even took the time to come into our classroom and speak to students individually.”
Norwood teacher Stacy Lee thanked organizers for allowing the football players to come to Norwood Elementary.
“They happily greeted students, had meaningful conversations and started forming positive relationships,” she said. “The leadership skills they showed were amazing.”
