Leola Almond Furr, 88, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at her home.
Mrs. Furr was born October 31, 1929 in Stanly County to the late Lewis Almond and the late Gatha Lambert Almond.

She was also preceded in death by husband, Robert Vernon Furr; brother, Richard Almond and sister, Brenda Almond.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. -12:45 p.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Elder Jimmy Gray. Burial will follow the service at the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 22182 Canton Road, Albemarle.
Survivors include son, Bruce (Beckie) Furr of Albemarle; daughters, Elaine (Perry) Hinkle of Durham and Sherry (Randy) Ross of Charlotte; grandchildren, Jacob Vernon (Lindsey) Furr, Kyle Furr, Luke Furr, Kathryn Ross (Matt) Jones and Sarah Ross; great-grandchildren, Kate Jones, Kynzlie Furr, Nathan Furr, Ryan Furr, Henry Jones and Koralee Furr.
