North volleyball stays perfect in YVC with wins

The North Stanly volleyball team stayed undefeated in Yadkin Valley Conference play on the road Monday in a 3-0 win at South Davidson.

Scores of the match were 25-9, 25-15 and 25-13.

Seven different Comets (11-2, 10-0 YVC) had kills in the game, led by Nicole Lowder with eight kills. Merris Talbert added seven kills while Taegan Lowder and Cleo Carter had four kills each.

Brinn Kimrey had seven of North’s 22 service aces with Talbert adding four aces. Lowder, Alex Childress and Madi Morris all had three aces.

Payton Landis led the Comets with 13 assists while Childress added six assists.

North Stanly goes on the road Thursday for a YVC match at Uwharrie Charter.
