Ellen Gaskins: School reunion is Sunday
Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church
Sept. 16, as with most services, was cancelled due to Hurricane Florence.
Sept. 23, the message, “Slow to Understand,” was presented by Larry Pittman. The sermon scriptures were from Luke 2:41-52. The Old Testament readings were from Proverbs 1:20-33.
Oct. 7, Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church will share in Holy Communion. It will also be the Sunday we collect for our missionaries and take a food collection for Stanly Community Christian Ministry.
Prayer meeting is now at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. All are welcome to join us in the fellowship hall.
The September food challenge for the SCCM is canned meat (tuna, chicken, spam, salmon). They are also in need of canned fruit in juice, mac and cheese, canned meats and two-pound bags of rice.

Just bring a finger food, drink, or tea and enjoy seeing old friends and classmates again.
The reunion will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church fellowship hall. Mark your calendars and make plans to enjoy the fun. See you there.
