Pfeiffer volleyball loses to Methodist

The Pfeiffer University volleyball team dropped a tough 3-1 (26-28, 29-27, 19-25, 19-25) match to visiting Methodist University on Sept. 25 at Merner Gym.
The Monarchs, after nearly two weeks of being idle after being sidelined by the effects of hurricane Florence, got 14 kills from Brittany Ter Meer and 10 from Jasmine Tapscott in the win. Setter Lili Henry dished 40 assists to pace Methodist.
For the Falcons, Bri Weber led the way with 14 kills while teammate
Alonna Clouse registered 12 kills and 14 digs in the loss. Freshman setter Angelina Fardella had 28 assists to lead the Falcons.
Defensively, Emma Gray Beacham continued her consistently strong play with a match-best 19 digs.
With the setback, the Falcons fell to 5-7 overall and 1-2 in USA South play while Methodist improves to 6-2 and 1-0 in league play.
