John Criston “Cris” Ragsdale, 65, of Albemarle passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at CHS-Stanly.

A memorial service to honor his life was held at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Smith officiating. The family received friends prior to the service at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care from 5 until 6 p.m.
Born January 24, 1953 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late James Franklin “Duck” Ragsdale and Faye Eunice Ballard Ragsdale. He was a carpenter with Rusco and attended Congregation Christian Church.
Mr. Ragsdale is survived by two daughters, Ryan Ragsdale and Kelly Jasper, both of Stanfield, sisters Toby R. Efird of Albemarle and Janie R. Torrence of North Myrtle Beach, SC, 5 grandchildren, Charlotte Jasper, Andrew Ragsdale, Chandler Ragsdale, Carson Ragsdale and Mary Cahill.
He was preceded in death by a son, Adrian Ragsdale, and a brother, Terry Ragsdale.
