Board games, card games, cornhole toss and puzzles are available every day.
Mondays: Light exercise for seniors 10-11 a.m., Bridge 1-4 p.m.
Tuesdays: Crochet class 10 a.m., Angie’s Chair Yoga 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. ($3 per), Tai Chi Class 2-2:45 p.m..
Wednesdays: Light exercise for seniors 10-11 a.m., Bag Lunch Bunch 12-1 (BYOL), crafts, jewelry 1-3 p.m., Scrabble 3-5 p.m.
Thursdays: Bag Lunch Bunch 12-1 p.m. (BYOL), canasta 12-5 p.m.
Fridays: Light exercise for seniors 10-11 a.m., BINGO 6-10 p.m. – open to the community.

West Stanly Senior Center Special Events
• Sunday: Mt. Orchard & Flat Rock Playhouse show Day Trip – $89 Get Away Tours NC, prepaid. Depart Locust Town Center at 6:45 a.m. and return approximately 7:30 p.m.
• Monday at 11 a.m. — Art Class with Malia: Pencils & Pastels — Even if you missed the first class during September it is not too late to pick up a pencil and learn to draw. Sign up and join in the fun and fellowship.
• 3-4:30 p.m. Tuesday: Flu Clinic — Moose Pharmacy. This clinic will be open to both seniors and non-seniors at least 14 years of age.
Participants need to bring their insurance cards and wear short sleeves. If you have Medicare be sure to also bring your red, white andblue card.
There will be a cost associated if the person’s insurance doesn’t cover the flu shot.

Art Display
The Locust Library is happy to show the works of Mrs. Lewis’ Locust and Endy elementary school students.
They are:
1st grade: Laney Tucker, Maksen Sides, Harper Lovin;
2nd grade: Mason Jones, James Woody, Luke Oliver;
4th grade: Everett Ladd, Kelsey Robinsonl Jenna Brock; and
5th grade: Kelby Bowman, Kelby Hinson, John Owen Tucker.
Friends and family are invited to come by the library and enjoy their creations.

Fall Festival
The Locust Fall Festival Committee is planning the 5th annual Locust Fall Festival for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31.
Businesses, churches and organizations are invited to participate in the event and must complete the vendor form and email to Tommy Ross, pastor of First Baptist Church of Locust and chairman of the committee.
The Locust Fall Fest is an annual event on ball field No. 4 at the Locust Athletic Complex.
The event is organized by a committee made up of representatives from local churches and works with the Locust Parks and Recreation Department.

Family Movie Night
City of Locust will have Family Movie Night Saturday in the backyard of Locust City Hall.
The Disney movie “CoCo” will be the movie of the night. And there will be free popcorn. Bring a chair or blanket and the activities get started at 6 p.m.
