Dean was the most giving compassionate person. She chose to volunteer for Hospice of Stanly County because giving back was who she was.
She was charming, witty, and always had a strong faith in God. She was a devoted and loyal member of Big Lick Baptist Church for over 60 years and was a true and faithful servant to her Lord.
Dean had an infectious personality and never met many strangers. Some of her most memorable moments were spent at Holden Beach with her husband and family.
Dean enjoyed trips with the Big Lick Goodtimers and trips to Hawaii to spend time with her daughter Teresa. She also traveled to New Mexico, Santa Fe, Colorado, and Canada.
She was a beacon of light to her family. She was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, friend but most of all she was a woman of faith.
The family wishes to thank the physicians and nursing staff of the 11th Tower at CHS Atrium for their love and expert care of our mother, and members and friends of Big Lick Church for their love and prayers.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Food Bank Stanly County or Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region 7845 Little Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28226.
