Palestine Fall Festival is this Saturday

Published 11:17 am Friday, October 26, 2018

The Oct. 14 worship service at Palestine United Methodist Church was led by Pastor Kevin McCormac.

McCormac began his special series on aliens with his message titled “A Strange Work.” Scripture reading was from Isaiah 26:16-29.

During the Oct. 14 service, James and Dale Lowder were honored by family members during the Senior Citizens Sunday celebration.

Immediately following the service, all seniors were honored with a covered dish luncheon in the church fellowship hall.

A special thank you to Heather Blalock for organizing Senior Citizen Sunday.

On Oct. 21, McCormac continued his alien series with his message titled “Message Aliens” and used scripture from Hebrews 11:1-16.

Thank you to all who came out and supported the Palestine United Methodist Women’s Poor Man Supper fundraiser Oct. 20. All funds raised will go toward community missions.

Palestine’s annual Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday in the church fellowship hall.

All are encouraged to come out and enjoy cotton candy, register for door prizes and browse through the bake sale.

Please contact Amanda Barrett for more information or to volunteer to help. Please note, no scary costumes are allowed.

Palestine UMC is currently collecting snacks including easy-open cans, cookies, crackers, etc. to send to those affected by Hurricane Florence.
