On November 2, 2018, devoted wife and loving mother Betty Pate entered into her Heavenly Home.
Born February 28, 1933 in Thomasville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ed Plowman and Ettie Mae Plowman.
She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and over her life enjoyed cooking, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, family beach trips, and most of all Betty loved spending time with, and doing things for her family.
Preceding her in death was her beloved husband of 67 years, Austin Pate.
Left behind to cherish her memories are children Lyndell (Cindy) Pate, Bettina Little, and Anthony (Kristi) Pate, and her most precious grandchildren Mitchell (Dana) Pate, Rebecca Pate, and Annika (Adam) Black; and sister Carrie Francis Smith (Ernest).
The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle on Monday, Nov 5th from 10 AM until 11 AM and a celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 11 AM in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle with interment to follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made in Betty’s name to her beloved Baptist Children’s Homes of NC, PO Box 338, Thomasville, NC 27361.
