Carolina Christian School in Locust strives to impact its community through serving those around them in need.

This year, CCS is partnering with West Stanly Christian Ministries through a fundraising campaign titled Harvest/Assist to raise money in support of the WSCM Food Pantry maintained in Stanfield, as well as raise money for their school.

The Food Pantry is a facility whose shelves are filled primarily through individual and group donations. It serves a large number of families in Stanly County.

Having knowledge of the impact WSCM has on its surrounding communities, Carolina Christian faculty and students wanted to find a way to get involved.

The Harvest/Assist campaign was created so CCS could serve its neighbors. For every $1 donated, Carolina Christian students will be able to provide 1 pound of food to the Food Pantry in addition to 500 hygiene bags the students will pack.

Students will gather monetary donations Nov. 9-19.
