Meagan Christine Black, 24, of Wilmington, formerly of Oakboro, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018.

Meagan is survived by her father and stepmother, Ronnie Black, Jr. and Julie; her mother, Lee Ann Coble and Eric Hill; her beloved brother, Trevor Black; her step-siblings, Haley and Evan Reed; her boyfriend, Kevin Thomas; her grandparents, Ronnie Sr. and Jan Black; her cat Boba Kitty, and her guppy, Nigri.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edwin “Poppy” and Barbara Coble.
A celebration of Meagan’s life will be held on Wednesday at 3 pm at Loves Chapel United Methodist Church, 808 S. Love’s Chapel Road, Stanfield. Visitation will be held 1:00-3:00 pm in the church sanctuary.
Meagan had an incredible smile and infectious laugh. She loved her family and friends and always wanted to help others. She enjoyed siracha sauce and Asian foods. Her goal was to become an addiction counselor.
