An evening of thanks at Soul Food/Grace Place

Published 3:13 pm Wednesday, November 21, 2018

The Nov. 11 worship service at Palestine United Methodist Church was led by Pastor Kevin McCormac.
McCormac continued his special series on aliens with his “Treated Like An Alien.” Scripture reading was from Acts 16:16-18, 1 Peter 2:16-25 and Philemon 1:1-6.
At the beginning of the service, all veterans were recognized for their service.

On Nov. 18, McCormac continued his alien series with his message titled “Citizenship/Resident Alien” and used scripture from Ephesians 2:1-22.
On Nov.17, Love Thy Neighbor prepared and served a traditional Thanksgiving meal at the Isiah Westbrook Community Center in Badin.
Nearly 200 people attended the meal and spent time in fellowship with their neighbors.
A special thank you to all who prepared food, volunteered and helped serve the meal.
On Thanksgiving at 6 p.m., Love Thy Neighbor will host An Evening of Thanks at Soul Food/Grace Place, at 132 Church St., Albemarle.
A traditional Thanksgiving meal will be served at no charge to anyone who would like to attend.
