Letter to the Editor: Singing continues for God and Country

Published 3:29 pm Tuesday, December 4, 2018

This past Sunday afternoon, I was privileged to conduct The Singing Americans in their Christmas presentation, “A Thrill of Hope,” at Grace Baptist Church.

This wonderful group of singers from over 20 different churches in three counties produced a festive Christmas program with solos and duets from Rod Almond, Claudette Burris, Denise Morgan, Nancy Whitley, Bonnie Medlin and Alan Medlin.

You can see the program on Youtube at the Grace Baptist Church of Albemarle YouTube channel or come to Pleasant Grove Baptist in Frog Pond this Sunday at 3 p.m. Our narrators are Cissie Seavers from New London and Jeff Irvin from Norwood.

All have worked hard attending weekly practices to make this a fantastic presentation.

Concerts are always free and we invite you to come and celebrate this Christmas season with us.

The Singing Americans mission is to sing for God and country. New singers are always welcome and we’d like all churches in the area to be represented.

The Singing Americans will begin practice for our patriotic concerts in March.
